The ask

The TA and HR orgs had grown, there was a lot of time and resource spent on project work but it was not always clear what the projects were set out to achieve, whether they were on track and whether the project managers had the right training to deliver successfully and with impact.

The outcome

Set up a portfolio management office that gave leaders visibility over the portfolio of initiatives, introduced rituals and reporting to drive better governance.

Standardised the approach to how initiatives were run to drive consistency and efficiency.  

Upskilled the project managers by establishing a lightweight project/programme management methodology including providing group training and 1:1 coaching.  

As a result, TA and HR achieved greater success in project and programme delivery and so were better equipped to support the wider business.
