My name is Terry Aduh - Founder and Director of AXL Consulting. I work with scale ups and larger organisations, partnering with their TA and HR Leaders to bring Chief of Staff capability and help get things done.
Although based in Amsterdam I work with clients internationally and partner with a select, trusted and experienced network of expert Associate Consultants based in both the UK and the European Union to bring speed and firepower to the work we deliver for our clients.
I have fifteen years of experience in working with some of the world’s best known companies.
I started my career in management consulting at KPMG in London and worked with clients in different sectors including tech, retail, banking, insurance, B2B and UK national government.
I did all kinds of work with them: I crafted strategic plans and roadmaps, led complex tech implementations and drove organisational change to improve processes, structures and streamline day-to-day operations.
After seven years in management consulting I moved into roles in big tech and retail that spanned Strategy, Customer Operations and PeopleOps at Marks & Spencer, Uber and Atlassian.
When the laptop is down I indulge in a range of interests and hobbies. I got into road cycling at the start of the pandemic and in a fit of what can only be described as lunacy (!), cycled to Brussels in one day with two close friends. Never have I slept as soundly as I did that night 🚲
I love engaging my creative side. In June 2020 I moved into an apartment with lots of character but in severe need of updating. And so I kickstarted a renovation programme to modernise it in a way that still treasured its 19th century roots - an experience particularly fulfilling during the pandemic when so many of us nested at home.
@casa.ams 📷 has since become a great space to run workshops for clients looking for a change of scenery from the usual office environs.
On the more physically active front, I stumbled across padel in mid-2022, was immediately hooked and now play with near-religious fervour. I train weekly with a coach, play at least once a week and have been known to go to Spain solely for padel school - the addiction is real!
I run AXL Padel - a padel player network here in Amsterdam where I organise weekly matches, quarterly tournaments and run training sessions for enthusiasts of the sport. Get in touch if you ever want to join! 🎾
